A new memecoin centered around John McAfee is live.
Dubbed AINTI, the late programmer’s wife confirmed the project’s viability.
The token showcases intense volatility, dropping up to 70% from its All-Time High.
Late British and American computer programmer John McAfee has ironically returned from the dead and is now posting about Artificial Intelligence (AI) on X. On January 23, the account of the cybersecurity mogul and controversial figure announced an AI version of himself.
“I’m back with AIntivirus. An AI version of myself. You didn’t think I would miss this cycle, did you?” he declared.
McAfee’s Posthumous Return
A link was attached to the controversial X post to direct netizens to the project’s website and a purported official contract address.
So far, no one has admitted to clicking the link or telling the public what they found when they did. Stern warnings against fraudulent tokens have been issued to X community members.
The crypto community is concerned that McAfee’s X page may have been compromised. Another group thinks someone else may have taken control of the account. Even blockchain security firm PeckShield flagged the account as compromised but has deleted the post. It took back its claim, stating the account was not hacked.
According to the AIntivirus website, “In a world overrun by surveillance states, corporate greed, and digital enslavement, the AIntivirus is the ultimate disrupter.”

The AIntivirus has a native token with the ticker AINTI, which is currently trading at $0.2955. It has a of more than $29 million after first going as high as $100 million, per data from Solscan.
John McAfee’s Legacy in AIntivirus
McAfee’s wife, Janice, also posted about the AI memecoin on her page. His wife explained that the initiative combines John McAfee’s advocacy for privacy, crypto, decentralized technology, and AI capabilities.
In another post, she discussed leveraging her husband’s unfinished work to “expand his legacy” amid the current market cycle.
This new McAfee is said to be “John McAfee AI incarnated.”
Meanwhile, this news comes after Donald Trump’s family recorded huge success with the launch of memecoins. Still, there is no assurance whether the AINTI token is a pump-and-dump scam. Already, the memecoin is exhibiting trends seen with celebrity-linked tokens. In such cases, the initial hype often outranks sustained demand.
As of its writing, AINTI has already lost up to 70% of its short-lived All-Time High (ATH). While this might be trivial, some users have pointed out that Janice McAfee uses American rather than British English.
Ethical Issues Surrounding TRUMP, MELANIA Memecoins
On the one hand, Trump and Melania are receiving considerable attention, and many in the industry are concerned about the heavy concentration of wealth among few wallets. For context, , entities holding $10 million or more in these tokens, control up to 94% of the combined token supply.
Smaller investors with holdings ranging from $1 million to $10 million account for just 2.1% of the total supply. The last group is for wallets between $100,000 and $1 million. These represent 1.7% of the combined token supply.
Critics believe another McAfee-themed token may trail this path to defraud investors.
